Who We Are & What We Do

The Hiawatha PTO:

  • promotes the welfare of Hiawatha's students in the home, school and community.

  • establishes good communication and a sense of community among students, parents, teachers, and administrators regarding matters of mutual concern.

  • provides a forum for discussion between parents, legal guardians, teachers, and administrators regarding matters of mutual concern.

  • provides school/family activities.

  • plans and implements fundraising events for the benefit of the students and the school..

    We are an entirely volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our funds and efforts are 100% directed to Hiawatha Elementary. We are not employed, nor governed by OPS.
